State Policy Director, New York League of Conservation Voters

Bill Holland currently serves as state policy director for the League of Conservation Voters. He works with LCV’s state leagues to develop state-level policy campaigns aimed at increasing support for clean energy and climate solutions. Bill joined LCV in 2014 after spending four years directing the New Jersey Working Families Alliance where he led efforts to successfully defeat Chris Christie’s reckless fiscal policies and helped lead the successful effort making Jersey City the 6th city in the country to implement Earned Sick Days. Prior to Working Families, he was Deputy Director for Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, Midwest Field Director for the Apollo Alliance, where he brought together labor unions and environmentalists to support clean energy policies and led the Iowa Fair Trade Campaign, gaining commitments from all Democratic candidates for President in 2004 to define their vision of a better American trade model. Bill began his career as Lead Organizer for Green Corps, the Field School for Environmental Organizing. He graduated from Grinnell College and resides in Jersey City.
