Gavin Power is the Deputy Director of the UN Global Compact. He has led the development of a range of strategic initiatives on behalf of the UN Secretary-General and the UN Global Compact such as the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment. Gavin also led the development of the UN Global Compact’s Who Cares Wins program, a global policy initiative focused on integrating environmental, social and governance issues into investment analysis and asset management. Gavin led the UN’s first convening of stock exchanges in 2004, and has been actively involved in the Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative. He has served as a special business- economics adviser to the UN Secretary General on numerous occasions. A frequent speaker and contributor at international events, Mr. Power has extensive experience in the public and corporate sectors.
